Tuesday, March 17th, 2009Langey Saxophone Studies
Friday, March 6th, 2009“The Saxophone” by Otto Langey contains a great collection of pretty diatonic studies, in each key. Below are some recordings I have made so my students can study the pieces by playing along with my example. These versions are for study. As such, tempi are generally slower than performance tempo.
HOW TO USE THESE RECORDINGS. First, you should own the book. “The Saxophone, Otto Langey.
1. Listen to familiarise yourself with the melody, copy my phrasing and articulation.
2. Copy the .mp3 file into AUDACITY so you can slow it down (or speed it up). Download Audacity free at www.audacity.sourceforge.net
Let me know if you like it or if you think of any way I can improve it.
